Retail Bag Design: Taner Ceylan

1. How do you believe your design relates to the corporate Identity of your company?

My bag relates to the corporate identity of Nike because it uses a very simple design in the front in back. On the sides it repeats "NIKE" in a cool way because Nike has many creative designs in their works.

2. How does your bag portray the “holiday”?

My bag uses the colors red, green, and gold which definitely give a holiday feel

3. Do you think that the company you designed for would really use your bag? Why or why not?

I do not see why not because the bag would be a great walking advertisement for Nike and has a great holiday feel.

4. What makes your bag Unique and Different?

My bag is unique with its big, gold and shiny Nike swoosh on the front and back. My bag is different because on the side panels its my own design made out of several "NIKE" with different opacities.

5. Describe the process in which you took to create the bag? (From beginning to end)

Even though Nike can be simple to make, I put a lot of thought into this project. I had so many ideas I could not just do one and be finished. First, I had to think about my color scheme, and where to place the logo. After I put the Nike swoosh in the center of the bag, I wasn’t done because I created many different color fills with the swoosh and picked my favorite one. The last part that I worked on was the sides. I put the most time into this part because I wanted to make a flashy design. I made many patterns on the side panel with gold lettering of "NIKE", then I chose my favorite design. With the Green layer wrapping around the whole bag I added "JUST DO IT", the slogan, to make it look nicer.
